There Are No Shortcuts
I graduated a year and a half ago from a college in Minnesota, you betcha! After graduation I made my way down to Chicago in search of a change of scenery and to start this whole ‘being an adult’ buisness. While Chicago claims to be in desperate need for teachers, they are very wary of hiring first-years (Which I completely understand why now!). So I spent last year as a substitute, and now am trying out a new route in an inner city Catholic school.

ps. i used to give to homeless, esp. younger one’s but now feel it enables them to keep living the way they are living, at least the one’s with drug or alcohol problems. they are other ways to help and programs to help them with that but it is hard to watch. hawaii has a a huge homeless pop. due to high cost of living but the thing is they don’t ask for money! not in the month i was there. polite. i did try to help a young kid who had a drinkning problem get back to CA but his homeless friends would not let him go as he wasd a good $ producer!
